Accurate measurements of ionizing radiations effects are required in a wide range of industrial and medical applications, where they are critical in decisions relating to human health and safety.
At this purpose, COMECER realized in 1993 the calibration centre in the course of a technical collaboration agreement with ENEA, with the aim to offer a certified calibration service for medical, industrial and radiation protection instruments, combining the scientific accuracy with the entrepreneurship, so as to allow the users to respect the current regulations without compromising the continuity of their professional activities.
COMECER calibration centre has been accreditated Accredia (Italian Accreditation Body) and acts as secondary standard laboratory mantaining ionizing radiation secondary standards traceable to ENEA-INMRI primary standards for dosimetry measurements.
Accredia is one of the signatories to the Mutual Recognition Agreement EA-MLA and ILAC-MRA for the calibration certificates.
The Quality system adopted by COMECER calibration centre complies with the UNI CEI EN 45001 rules and has been updated to the UNI CEI EN ISO/IEC 17025.
